New features in commemorative activities
This year, the Union Meal has become a new highlight in addition to the activities of giving gifts, giving Union Shelters or supporting difficulties of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor (DOLF). Accordingly, the program focuses on improving the quality of shift meals, ensuring nutrition, food safety and portions suitable for workers' needs. This is an opportunity for union members and workers to gather and share in a friendly atmosphere, attached to the unit and the enterprise.
At the provincial level, the Provincial Federation of Labor selected two key enterprises, Bodynits Tien Giang Company Limited and Nghi Phong Joint Venture Company Limited, serving nearly 3,800 union members and workers. The menu of dishes is rich, nutritious and suitable for the taste of workers, the highlight is the improvement of the quality of shift meals higher than previous years.
At the program, the Provincial Federation of Labor also presented 93 gifts worth nearly 25 million VND to union members in difficult circumstances, from grassroots union finances and social mobilization.

After more than two months of implementation, the Union Meal has spread strongly throughout the province. Up to now, 54 units and enterprises have organized Union meals for 36,213 union members and workers with a total amount of VND 1,810,372,075, of which the grassroots union supported more than VND 1,007,975. The grassroots unions also presented 207 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances, with a total value of VND 68,250,000.
Sharing her feelings, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu (Nghi Phong Joint Venture Company Limited) expressed: "We are really touched. Not only the food was delicious and cozy, but it was also cared for and visited by business leaders and trade union organizations. We feel appreciated, listened to, and thereby have more motivation to work better.
Significance and direction of replication
In fact, this activity has gradually helped narrow the gap between business leaders, trade unions and workers, creating a space for exchange and colleagues. Improving the quality of shift meals helps workers clearly feel the care, improve health, working spirit and productivity, and complete assigned tasks well.

According to the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor, the Union Meal is not only a collective meal but also affirms the role of the Union organization in caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. The activity also demonstrates social responsibility from the business side, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor - emphasized: "We will continue to encourage and support grassroots unions to coordinate with enterprises to implement this model, improve the quality of shift meals and spread the spirit of sharing throughout the province. Initial effectiveness shows that the program can be maintained regularly, combined with emulation movements, holidays, Tet or Workers' Month, while diversifying forms of care, so that union members and workers can feel the attention from the Trade Union organization".
