On July 11, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation organized health check-ups, screening for dangerous diseases and examinations for eye diseases for union members and workers (NLĐ) in 2026. This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.

According to the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation, through the program to care for the health of union members and workers; contributing to the effective implementation of the Party, State and Trade Union organization's policy on protecting, caring for, and improving people's health and improving the quality of welfare activities for union members. Creating conditions for union members and workers to access free health check-up and consultation services; early detection of risk factors for dangerous diseases and eye diseases, thereby being consulted for monitoring and timely treatment, contributing to improving the quality of life and labor efficiency.
Raising awareness of union members and workers about the meaning of periodic health check-ups, early screening and proactive health care, forming habits of monitoring and protecting personal and family health. Thereby promoting the effectiveness of the Union member welfare program through the coordination between the Provincial Labor Federation and Van Hanh Medical Center and Saigon Kien Giang Eye Hospital Joint Stock Company, mobilizing social resources to participate in taking care of union members and workers' health.

About 230 union members, workers and their relatives were screened for the risk of dangerous diseases; examined, consulted for treatment of eye diseases and provided free medicine.
In which, the risk screening program for dangerous diseases is worth 1.2 million VND/person, 100% funded by Van Hanh Medical Center (In case the participant is under 30 years old, the examination fee paid by the participant to Van Hanh Medical Center is 200,000 VND/person).

The program of examination, consultation and treatment of eye diseases and medicine distribution is supported and implemented free of charge by Saigon Kien Giang Eye Hospital Joint Stock Company.
