Improving the quality of preschool education
On December 23, the Office of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that the locality is implementing the Program "Improving the quality of preschool education in urban areas and industrial parks for the period 2025 - 2035, with a vision to 2045".
The program focuses on urban areas and industrial parks - where there are many workers and laborers, who need to send children to adulthood but have limited access to preschool education (GDMN).
According to the goal of 2030, in urban areas, 100% of children in GDMN facilities will be raised, cared for and educated safely, meeting the requirements of the GDMN Program, in accordance with practical conditions.
In industrial parks, the province strives for at least 50% of children aged 6 to 36 months to be children of workers and laborers who need to go to school, classes and access quality GDMN services.
Regarding the team, in urban areas, at least 85% of managers, preschool teachers and staff have access to documents on digital platforms. At the industrial park, 100% of the team is trained and improved in professional capacity and skills every year.
For GDMN facilities, Khanh Hoa sets a target of 30% of commune-level urban units developing and implementing GDMN models suitable to local characteristics.
In industrial parks, strive to increase the number of groups of children by 10%, 5% of public kindergartens have groups of children under 24 months old; at the same time, 85% of non-public vocational training institutions meet the standards of safe schools, prevention of accidents and injuries.
By 2030, at least 85% of parents of children who are workers in industrial parks will have disseminated knowledge, skills in nurturing, caring for and educating children.
By 2035, the province aims to have 100% of children in urban areas and industrial parks in need have access to quality GDMN services; 100% of managers, teachers and staff have access to digital documents and receive annual professional training. At the same time, 100% of GDMN facilities meet the safety school standards according to regulations.
By 2045, Khanh Hoa will continue to consolidate and improve the quality of preschool education in urban areas and industrial parks; replicate effective GDMN models, ensure fairness in educational access, in accordance with the characteristics of each locality across the province.
To effectively implement the program, the province will review and improve mechanisms and policies on preschool education; promote socialization of education, attract investment in building kindergartens for children of workers; at the same time, develop specific policies for teachers, vocational education institutions and children of workers in industrial parks.

Workers feel secure in working and producing
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (29 years old, a garment worker in Suoi Dau Industrial Park, Khanh Hoa) said that the information that the province is implementing a program to improve the quality of preschool education in industrial parks makes her "really happy".
According to Ms. Hoa, for many years, finding a safe place to send children that is suitable for workers' working hours has always been a constant concern.
"My child is only 1 year old, it is very difficult to send to public schools, while private schools have high costs and uneven quality. If the province expands to include groups of young people, especially those under 24 months old, and has a policy to support workers' children, we will feel more secure going to work, Ms. Hoa shared.
With the same expectation, Ms. Tran Thi Tu (32 years old, a worker in Ninh Thuy Industrial Park) said that the program not only helps workers reduce the pressure of having children but also creates conditions for workers to stay with the enterprise for a long time.
"It's very difficult to work overtime and work overtime continuously without a suitable place to send children. I hope the program will be implemented soon, there will be a kindergarten near the industrial park, teachers will be well-trained, and a safe environment for their children to be well cared for. When the children are sent stably, the workers can work with peace of mind and stay with the company for a long time, said Ms. Tu.
