On November 13, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (VFF) coordinated with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to organize a training course to raise awareness of lifelong learning, taking place in Vung Tau ward.
Attending the training course were Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (online); Ms. Ho Thi Kim Ngan - Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, reporters and about 100 delegates who are grassroots union officials and workers at enterprises.
Speaking at the opening of the training course, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said that in many developed countries, lifelong learning has become a command and requirement for all citizens, especially for workers.
In Vietnam, the issue of lifelong learning is of great concern to the Party and State, in which, there is great attention to the subjects of trade unions, workers... Therefore, it is necessary to implement lifelong learning to first serve work, and serve the lives of each union member and worker.
On that basis, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor issued a document guiding all levels of trade unions to deploy and promote lifelong learning to help workers and civil servants have good working skills and knowledge to effectively solve problems in current life, especially in the context of rapidly developing science and technology...
Hopefully, after the training, union officials will continue to spread and widely propagate among union members and workers about the purpose, spirit, methods... of lifelong learning.
According to the plan, the training course will take place over 2 days, November 13-14, with many important contents such as: Applying AI and social networks to self-development; signs of identifying fraud through social networks and AI; some new points of the Law on Social Insurance 2024 related to resolving occupational accident regimes.
In particular, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu will present 2 topics on "Lifetime Learning" and "Living in Work" in the training program.
