A source from Lao Dong Newspaper on October 12 said that the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has just sent a document to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to direct the final settlement of the case of Vinh Thong Production - Trading - Service Company Limited, located in Tan Binh Industrial Park, Ho Chi Minh City (Vinh Thong Company) owing wages and social insurance to protect the legitimate rights of workers.
Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation recommended that the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee direct the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee to preside over and coordinate with the City People's Court and the City Civil Judgment Enforcement Department to urge and apply necessary measures to speed up the progress of organizing the enforcement of judgments for 137 judgments and decisions that have come into effect, forcing Vinh Thong Company to completely pay debts to employees.
Direct Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance to consolidate the case file and transfer it to Ho Chi Minh City Police for consideration and criminal prosecution for the act of evasion of social insurance payment according to the provisions of law.
Assign the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate to comprehensively inspect compliance with labor laws, wages, and social insurance at Vinh Thong Company.
In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation recommended that the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee direct the Ho Chi Minh City Police to grasp the situation of enterprises, promptly prevent acts showing signs of asset dispersation, and closely monitor the situation of workers to ensure security and order in the area.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, 137 employees of Vinh Thong Company authorized officers of the Legal Consulting Center under the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and the Trade Union of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly) to sue the company for unpaid wages of about 3.1 billion VND and not paying social insurance of nearly 4.8 billion VND.
As a result, the People's Court of Region 9 issued 118 Decisions recognizing mediation and 19 first instance judgments, requiring Vinh Thong Company to pay all salaries and social insurance for 137 employees.
However, up to now, Vinh Thong Company has not seriously enforced judgments that have come into legal effect, showing signs of deliberately delaying, causing great frustration among the workforce.
