Fanpage "Shark Nguyen Hoa Binh" silently removed content while the AntEx project was being investigated
After the recent uproar, businessman Nguyen Hoa Binh - Chairman of NextTech Group (Shark Binh, born in 1981) is still attracting public attention.
According to the record, the fanpage "Shark Nguyen Hoa Binh" (with a green record) with more than 714,000 followers has had notable changes. Accordingly, the introduction video as well as the official video of the livestream with the theme "Leadership thinking in times of change" on October 6 by Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh suddenly disappeared, for unknown reasons.
Therefore, two posts related to the livestream session shared by Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh about his personal account showed the result "This content is not currently displayed".
Previously, at the press conference of the Ministry of Public Security on the afternoon of October 6, Colonel Nguyen Duc Long - Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police - said that the City Police had received a report related to the AntEx digital currency project. According to Mr. Long, immediately after the information appeared, Hanoi City Police directed professional units to grasp the situation, verify and strictly handle it according to regulations.
Previously, during the livestream on September 26 with the theme "Crypt assets - Opportunities and risks", the Chairman of NextTech made many comments that attracted public attention. The AntEx blockchain project with Shark Binh's capital was once called for millions of USD but then collapsed, causing many investors to lose everything.
Shark Binh said that he was also a victim, and at the same time admitted that the participation of the NextTech/Next100 fund he founded in the AntEx project was as an investor.
A company in Shark Binh's ecosystem affirms not to be involved in AntEx
On October 7, Vi Mo Technology Joint Stock Company (Vi Mo) issued a press release to customers and partners to clarify information related to Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh (Shark Binh) and the AntEx cryptocurrency project.
The move was made just one day after a representative of Hanoi City Police confirmed that they were accepting the investor's report related to this project.
In the document signed by General Director Do Cong Dien, Vi Mo emphasized that the AntEx project is a personal investment of Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, completely not under the operation or ownership of the company. This enterprise also affirmed that Mr. Binh does not participate in day-to-day operations, but the company is operated by a team of independent personnel, complying with a transparent management structure.
According to the announcement, Mr. Do Cong Dien is currently the legal representative, responsible for the highest responsibility in operating and implementing business activities. Vi Mo affirmed that all cooperation and service provision activities - including key products such as mPOS, TingBox, Vimo - are still taking place normally, not affected by information related to AntEx.
The company emphasized that customer support and system operation are still guaranteed, while affirming that information about Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh and the AntEx project "does not affect the company's operations".
According to research, the AntEx project was invested with 2.5 million USD by Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh in 2021 through the Next100Blockchain fund. After a period of operation, the ticket of the project has lost up to 99% of its value. In 2023, the project changed its name to Rabbit (RAB) but the new token continued to decrease by about 95% compared to the peak.
On his personal page, Mr. Binh once said that he and the shareholders were "king about being unfairly accused", and accused the project's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of fraud. He also shared that he had intended to report but could not do so due to lack of evidence and legal basis.
Vi Mo Technology Joint Stock Company was established in 2013, a company in the NextTech Technology Group ecosystem, chaired by Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh. As of the end of 2022, the enterprise has a charter capital of 50 billion VND, operating in the fields of information technology, e-commerce, providing e-wallets, payment gateways and solutions for collection and payment.
