On September 16, the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) said that the forum "Listening to union members and workers speak" in 2026 will take place on the morning of September 21, with about 300 trade union officials, union members, and workers (ĐV, NLĐ) participating.
The forum is organized at the main bridge point in the Party Committee hall of Quy Nhon Tay ward and online connection with the bridge point in the western area of the province at the headquarters of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation (No. 9 Hai Ba Trung, Dien Hong ward).
The content of the forum focuses on 5 groups of practical issues for workers, including: employment, wages, income; insurance, safety and health; housing, essential welfare; labor relations and the role of Trade Unions; skills, productivity and adaptability.
In which, employees can reflect issues related to employment, orders, salaries, bonuses, working hours and rest, meals; social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, debt or late payment of insurance; social housing, boarding houses, kindergartens, schools, transportation, clean water and living facilities.
Reflecting issues of labor relations such as implementing democracy at the grassroots level, dialogue at the workplace, negotiation and collective labor agreements, receiving and resolving complaints, and protecting Trade Union officials.
In addition, the forum dedicates content to vocational skills training, digital transformation, green transformation, automation, job loss risk and job transformation, initiatives, and technical improvements.
Employees can also raise other issues related to administrative procedures, public services, personal income tax, residence, online fraud prevention, black credit, boarding house security, environment, natural disasters and support for migrant workers...
According to Mr. Ha Duy Trung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of the province, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation, the forum aims to create a space for union members and workers to directly express their thoughts, aspirations, reflect difficulties, obstacles, recommendations and suggestions on employment, income, working conditions, social security, life and trade union activities.
Mr. Ha Duy Trung requested that the opinions and recommendations of union members and workers must be fully received, classified according to their authority, and the presiding agency and handling time must be clearly identified. Issues within the scope of enterprises must be included in dialogue, collective negotiation and supervision of implementation at the grassroots level.
The Provincial Trade Union determined that the results of resolving petitions and the level of satisfaction of union members and workers are a measure of the effectiveness of the forum; and at the same time requested to prioritize the time for workers to raise reflections and petitions and agencies and units to answer directly, limiting long reports and presentations.
