Lang Son needs to recruit more than 1,600 contract workers in the education sector

Lang Son - The Provincial People's Council has approved more than 1,600 labor contracts for education, ensuring human resources for teaching and learning.

Recently, at the 39th Session, term XVII, the People's Council of Lang Son province passed Resolution No. 48/NQ-HDND on deciding on the total number of labor contracts for performing professional and technical work in public service units of group 4 in the field of education in 2025.

According to the Resolution, the total number of approved labor contracts is 1,611 targets, including 777 targets for teacher labor contracts to meet the requirements of teaching at preschool and general education levels; 834 targets for specialized and professional labor contracts for general use to serve management work, professional and technical support in educational institutions.

The funding source for these contracts is arranged from regular expenditure funds of budgets at all levels, in addition to the budget allocated autonomy to agencies and units.

The approval of 1,611 labor contract targets in 2025 helps ensure enough teachers and professional staff, meeting the needs of teaching and learning in the context of Lang Son province both implementing the arrangement of commune-level administrative units and improving the quality of education in the direction of standardization.

Speaking to reporters, the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Lang Son province said that the current shortage of teachers is not only in Lang Son province but also a common situation in many localities, especially in mountainous provinces.

Explaining the reason, the Department's leaders said that in recent years, recruitment work has been implemented, but human resources have not met the demand.

Regarding the solution, Mr. Hoang Xuan Liem - Head of the Department of Organization, Border Guard and Administrative Reform (Department of Home Affairs of Lang Son province) - said that the Department has requested units to review and adjust the structure of subjects accordingly, and at the same time sign additional labor contracts and assign concurrent positions between schools for subjects that can be concurrently held.

Along with that, the Department continues to direct units to review and merge schools, eliminate school scores, and arrange students and classes to ensure the standards.

According to Mr. Hoang Manh Cuong, Chairman of Dong Dang Commune People's Committee, the commune has recently opened a recruitment round with the need for 40 contract workers.

Regarding the solution, Mr. Hoang Xuan Liem - Head of the Department of Organization, staffing and Administrative Reform, Department of Home Affairs of Lang Son province said that the Department has requested units to review and adjust the department structure accordingly. At the same time, signing additional labor contracts and assigning concurrent positions between schools for subjects that can be concurrently held.

Along with that, continue to direct units to review and merge schools, eliminate school scores, arrange students and classes to ensure the standards.
