Lang Son - On May 12, the Provincial Labor Federation signed a coordination program for the 2026-2031 period with the Party Committee of 8 communes in the old Huu Lung area.

The highlight of the working session was the official signing ceremony of the coordination agreement between the Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) and 8 communes in the old Huu Lung area, including: Huu Lung, Cai Kinh, Huu Lien, Van Nham, Yen Binh, Tuan Son, Tan Thanh and Thien Tan.

According to statistics, the Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation currently directly manages more than 200 grassroots trade unions with over 16,000 union members; of which, the non-state enterprise sector alone accounts for 143 units with 6,405 members.

Although there have been many positive changes after 3 years of implementing Directive No. 18-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee, trade union work in this bloc still faces many obstacles.

Reality shows that some businesses have not really paid attention to and created space for employee representative organizations to promote their role.

The implementation of regimes and policies in many places is not fully guaranteed. Along with that, the capacity to supervise and protect the legitimate rights of workers of some grassroots executive committees is still confused and passive.

To thoroughly solve the above limitations, the coordination program between the Provincial Labor Federation and the Party Committees of 8 communes has proposed synchronous solutions.

Specifically, the parties will closely coordinate in surveying the labor - employment situation, thereby mobilizing business owners to create conditions to establish grassroots trade unions when meeting the standards.

Functional agencies and Party committees will also strengthen the supervision of the implementation of democracy regulations at the workplace; and at the same time, propose and urge businesses to ensure the core rights of employees as well as deduct and remit trade union funds in accordance with legal regulations.

In addition to protecting rights, the program also pays special attention to social security activities. The Provincial Labor Federation will conduct appraisal and support housing for union members in particularly difficult circumstances, and at the same time assist those who unfortunately suffer from serious illnesses.

In addition, major campaigns such as "Workers' Month" or "Moment of Action on Occupational Safety and Health" will be jointly organized annually by the Labor Federation and communes.

The close connection between the trade union organization and the local government of 8 communes in the former Huu Lung area is expected to create momentum to build a truly strong grassroots system, becoming a solid support for workers.
