The meeting was chaired by Ms. Doan Thu Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Lang Son Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, to review and approve key plans and submissions in May 2026.
One of the notable contents brought up for discussion is the draft Project on establishing Trade Unions in some communes and wards in the area.
For implementation, Ms. Ha assigned the Provincial Labor Federation to draft a document requesting opinions from the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee and the Department of Home Affairs, in order to clarify the necessity as well as the plan for arranging the organizational structure and trade union officials at the grassroots level.
In addition, the enhancement of the people's supervisory role is also emphasized. The Provincial Fatherland Front is planning to organize a conference to listen to people's opinions and a workshop to find solutions to improve the quality of operations for the People's Inspection Board and the Community Investment Supervision Board.
Provincial leaders requested to expand the participants in the workshop to representatives of communes and wards, and at the same time soon organize a thorough grasp of supervision work immediately after the event.
In people-to-people diplomacy, delegates gave opinions on the selection of exemplary children and youth to participate in exchange programs in China in 2026, such as: "Hand in Hand with Vietnamese - Chinese Children" and the Red Journey "Following Uncle Ho's Footsteps".
The criteria set out are that delegates must ensure typicalness and worthy representation for the young generation of the locality.
Regarding organizational work, the Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee directed professional departments to soon complete the dossiers to submit to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for consideration of key personnel for the 2026 - 2031 term for the Traditional Medicine Association and the Former Youth Volunteer Association.
Units are also assigned to urgently review and supplement members for advisory councils and prepare good conditions to organize the Congress of Delegates of the Provincial Former Youth Volunteers Association in the near future.
