According to information from the Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation, this year, Workers' Month has the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity".
The Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health has the theme "Innovating management and improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and health in the digital age".
Accordingly, the Provincial Labor Federation requires that activities must be practical, focused, with workers as the center, and grassroots trade unions as the foundation for implementation.
Each grassroots trade union strives to have at least one appropriate activity to respond to Workers' Month associated with the Action Month on occupational safety and health.
The highlight in the series of activities is the "May Dialogue" program, creating conditions for heads of Party committees and employers to meet and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers.
Units also organized the forum "Union members contribute opinions to build Vietnam Trade Unions in the new era", contributing opinions to documents of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, revised Vietnam Trade Union Charter and trade union operating methods in the new context.
Along with that, the program "Thank you to workers" is being implemented to visit, give gifts, and support union members and workers in difficult circumstances, people who have suffered from work accidents, occupational diseases, and critical illnesses; pay attention to pregnant female workers, young children, and workers who have reduced working hours or have unstable incomes.
Activities to care for the material and spiritual life of workers are also organized in many forms such as trade union welfare booths, preferential sales programs, "Trade Union Meals", improving the quality of lunch meals, periodic health check-ups, health consultations, psychological counseling, worker family days, worker cultural days and sports tournaments.
In Workers' Month 2026, trade union levels also launched innovation movements, digital initiatives, and improved labor productivity; encouraging union members and workers to propose initiatives and solutions for improvement in groups, lines, workshops, and departments.
Regarding occupational safety and health, grassroots trade unions will coordinate with employers to strengthen training, review risks, consolidate the network of occupational safety and health officers, organize dialogues and negotiations on working conditions, prevent work accidents, occupational diseases and improve the quality of lunch meals.
It is expected that at the end of April 2026, Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation will coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee to organize the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health.
On this occasion, the provincial trade union will honor workers with initiatives and typical improvements; provide health advice, free blood tests; visit and support workers in difficult circumstances.
The Provincial Labor Federation also set a goal to develop union members, establish 2 to 3 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions on this occasion; and at the same time organize the first honoring and commendation of workers who are typical party members in 2026.
