Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that in Workers' Month 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union organization will organize many practical and effective activities with focused and key requirements, mainly organized at the grassroots level, attracting a large number of union members and workers (NLĐ) to participate.
At the same time, activities must be practical, taking workers as the center, grassroots trade unions as the foundation for deployment, digital transformation as a tool, and actual effectiveness as a measure.
In Workers' Month 2026, Ho Chi Minh City trade union levels will focus on 7 main activities. In which, the "May Dialogue" program, trade union levels advise, propose, and coordinate to organize for unit heads and employers (NSDLĐ) to contact and dialogue with union members and employees in accordance with actual conditions, striving for 70% of grassroots trade unions to coordinate with NSDLĐ to organize dialogues.
The "Thank you to Workers" program and activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers will focus on visiting, giving gifts, and supporting union members and workers in difficult circumstances, who have had labor accidents, occupational diseases, critical illnesses, pregnant women, raising young children; workers with reduced working hours, unstable incomes; trade union officials affected by organizational structure arrangement.
Organize Trade Union welfare booths, preferential sales programs, and discounts for union members and workers at enterprises and worker dormitories.
The "Labor Skills - Sustainable Employment" day program will focus on introducing and guiding employees to participate in retraining, advanced training, and career change programs. Trade union levels coordinate to organize activities to directly connect employees with businesses that have recruitment needs, providing information about labor needs, job positions, working conditions, salaries, regimes, policies...
Along with that, trade union levels also organize: Peak month to promote the movement of innovation, digital initiatives, and improve labor productivity; Peak month for developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions; introducing the development of party members and workers; forum "Union members contribute ideas to build Vietnam Trade Unions in the new era".
Ho Chi Minh City trade union levels also organized the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026) and propaganda about the working class and trade union organizations; Organized the activity "Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health" in 2026, the theme: Innovation in management and improvement of the effectiveness of occupational safety and health in the digital age.
