On September 18, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Anh Tuan and the working delegation inspected the progress of Trade Union housing projects in Vinh Long and Dong Thap.
The inspection aims to supervise and urge synchronous construction to complete the plan, put the project into operation soon, and meet the needs of safe accommodation for workers.
The inspection team actually inspected Trung An ward (Dong Thap province) and Giao Long commune (Vinh Long province). In which, the Giao Long project has reached about 50% of the total production value of the entire project.
Working with units, VGCL President Nguyen Anh Tuan requested to focus on removing difficulties, proactively allocating resources, working overtime and reviewing the progress of each specific item.

The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized that the process of accelerating progress must go hand in hand with quality control, ensuring labor safety, environmental sanitation, and absolutely not for progress to ignore safety.
In addition, Mr. Tuan requested local authorities to support and closely coordinate in terms of security and order and environment, creating the most favorable conditions for the construction process.
Regarding the Giao Long project, VGCL President Nguyen Anh Tuan requested units to strive to complete it in May - June 2027 to inaugurate it on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union.

Mr. Tuan affirmed that taking care of housing for workers is a major policy of the Party and State and the responsibility of the political system, in which the Trade Union plays a core role.
The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour said that the projects are implemented in the form of renting out, not selling, helping union members with appropriate income to easily access stable, long-term and safe accommodation.
