On September 16, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang and the working delegation inspected the main urban road No. 1, the road connecting Ward 8 - Ward 9 (before the merger), the Long Ho river embankment and the Ca Dam, Ong Tham, Long Thanh tide-preventing culvert systems to assess progress.
At the survey points, provincial leaders listened to detailed reports on the disbursement situation, progress of compensation, resettlement support and site clearance, and directly recorded problems arising during the project implementation process.
The Urban Development Project is large-scale with 13 bidding packages, of which 7 packages have completed the selection of construction contractors, and the remaining 6 packages are completing legal procedures to continue selecting contractors in 2026.

Regarding site clearance, the locality has approved plans for 1,665 households out of a total of 1,197 affected households. 32 households in many adjacent areas have not yet completed procedures to hand over land to contractors.
Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang requested relevant units to review the volume, assess the quality of the project and the disbursement situation of capital. At the same time, the parties must propose solutions to remove difficulties in order to accelerate the investment progress of the entire project.
In addition, localities with projects passing through need to quickly clarify each case of backlog of land. Units must specifically determine the completion time of handover according to their authority and fully comply with legal regulations.
