On May 13, leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and all levels of the Trade Union of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province visited and encouraged the families of workers who had work accidents in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
In Vung Tau City, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Vung Tau City Federation of Labor and the Trade Union of enterprises visited and encouraged the family of Ms. Phan Thi Hoai - a worker who died in a work accident.
Previously, Ms. Hoai was a worker at Vung Tau Urban and Green Park Development Joint Stock Company. At around 6:30 p.m. on December 8, 2023, when the garbage truck was stopping to collect, it was hit by a car. At this time, Ms. Hoai and a colleague were working behind.
The collision caused Ms. Hoai to suffer multiple injuries and was taken to the emergency room but did not survive.
Ms. Hoai's family situation is very difficult when her husband is a bricklayer, but he often suffered from seizures due to the sequelae of a traumatic brain injury; their two children are still in school...
Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu sent his condolences and encouragement to the family of a worker who had a work accident; at the same time, he hoped that family members would maintain their health and overcome difficulties together to rise up.
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented the gift of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to the family; requested the local Trade Union to continue to pay attention to supporting and creating conditions for Ms. Hoai's family to overcome difficulties.
On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Vung Tau City Federation of Labor also presented support gifts and encouragement to Mr. Hoang Hai Tuong (Ms. Hoai's husband) and his family.
Receiving support gifts and attention from the Trade Union at all levels, Mr. Tuong and his two children were very touched and expressed their gratitude to the Trade Union organization.
"These gifts are very meaningful, encouraging and supporting the family a lot to try to improve their lives" - Mr. Tuong said.
On this occasion, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu expressed his hope that workers will increasingly be more aware of labor safety, complying with regulations to ensure labor safety to avoid risks and risks of unsafety.
