On May 6, the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor organized a visit and presented gifts to union members and workers with occupational diseases and work-related accidents at TunTex Soc Trang Company Limited, Vietnam.
Accompanying him were Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Ngo Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Van Khoi - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province.
At the visit, Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao shared and sympathized with the difficult circumstances. Encourage union members and workers to maintain their spirit, strive to overcome illness, recover their health to continue working, producing, and contributing to businesses and localities.
Worker Duong Thi Kieu Hoa, who had a traffic accident on her way home from work, shared: I broke my left collarbone and injured many areas of my body, had to be treated for 10 days and given a month off. The company has supported all hospital fees and the Union also supported an additional 500,000 VND. When he returned to work, the company arranged him a job that suited his health. Today, receiving gifts from the Provincial leaders and the Labor Federation, I am very touched and motivated to take care of my health and continue to work better".
On this occasion, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Labor Federation presented 10 gifts to union members and workers affected by work-related accidents and occupational diseases, demonstrating the concern and care of the Trade Union organization and local authorities for the lives of workers.
In 2024, Soc Trang province had 2 labor accidents that killed 2 people, in areas with labor relations, there were no labor accidents in areas without labor relations (equivalent to 2023). Data shows that businesses in the province have focused on implementing risk prevention measures, limiting and preventing work-related accidents at the unit.
