On August 25, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HFF) said that the unit is organizing an online contest with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union accompanies the development of the country".
The contest is organized in 4 groups, of which group A is for union members and workers of grassroots trade unions under the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (residential area); group B is a group of trade unions of universities, colleges, and hospitals; group C is a group of trade unions of corporations, banks and the group under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; group D is a group of workers living and working in Ho Chi Minh City.
Each group will have 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, three Third Prizes and 30 consolation prizes worth from 1 to 2.5 million VND. At the same time, the grassroots award worth 3 million VND was awarded to the 10 units with the largest number of contestants in each group A, B, C.
The contest content includes knowledge about major national holidays; traditional days of the Fatherland Front, the day of the founding of the Trade Union, the traditional day of the People's Public Security...; the history of Ho Chi Minh City before and after the merger; the glorious tradition of the working class, the Vietnam Trade Union organization, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union.
Each candidate is allowed to use only one account to participate in the exam, answering 20 multiple-choice questions and 1 additional question within 20 minutes. Candidates can participate in up to 2 rounds in 1 exam, getting the highest result.
The exam will take place in 2 phases, phase 1 from 3:30 p.m. on August 25 to 23:59 on August 29. Round 2 from 3:30 p.m. on August 30 to 5:59 p.m. on September 3. Candidates take an online test on the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union's website.
According to Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, the contest is organized to propagate and educate union officials, union members, and workers about the stature and significance of the August Revolution in 1945; the tradition of patriotism, great solidarity, the desire for peace and the will to be self-reliant, national pride...; expressing deep gratitude to generations who sacrificed their blood for national independence and national reunification.
At the same time, educate the glorious traditions of the Vietnam Trade Union; the Vietnamese working class in general and of Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
