On December 27, the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Dong Nai Provincial Women's Union and Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union to organize a collective wedding ceremony for 9 couples who are union members and workers in difficult circumstances, working at enterprises in Dong Nai province, with the desire to accompany workers in establishing themselves, starting a business, and building a prosperous and happy family life.
According to the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation, this is the first time a mass wedding has been held for union members and workers. Couples are supported with wedding photography, wedding attire, makeup, and wedding flowers. The Provincial Labor Federation covers all expenses for the wedding.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Y - President of Dong Nai Province Labor Federation spoke at the wedding ceremony, saying that the mass wedding ceremony was held with the participation of 9 couples of union members and workers in Dong Nai province, with the desire to help them overcome difficulties in life, to have a truly fulfilling and meaningful wedding day.
The mass wedding ceremony is not only an opportunity for couples to express their love, but also an opportunity for the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor to show its concern and care for the spiritual life of union members.
"This is a practical action showing the affection and solidarity between the trade union organization and workers in Dong Nai province" - Chairwoman of Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Nhu Y said.
In the program, the union couples and workers participating in the mass wedding ceremony are also supported with all facilities and conditions for organizing the wedding ceremony including: hall, sound, lighting, wedding decoration, and art program at the wedding ceremony.
Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation hopes that the mass wedding will become an annual activity, so that the trade union can care for, look after, and join hands with workers to cultivate and build happiness.
The organizers and sponsors supported couples to measure wedding rings and try on Ao Dai. The entire cost of wedding rings and wedding dresses was covered by the sponsors.
Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh sent gifts to 9 couples, each gift worth 5 million VND/couple of union members.
After the wedding ceremony, the 9 couples and workers at the wedding offered incense at Tran Bien Temple of Literature and continued the wedding ceremony.
