Mr. Phan Van Men - Director of Hanoi Social Insurance - said that, implementing the direction of Vietnam Social Insurance on the Social Insurance agency directly transferring monthly pension and social insurance allowance payments via personal accounts to beneficiaries, on the occasion of March 4, 2025, Hanoi Social Insurance will pay pensions and social insurance allowances via personal accounts to beneficiaries on March 4.
The leader of Hanoi Social Insurance explained that the payment of pensions and social insurance benefits to beneficiaries through accounts on March 4, not on February 2 as prescribed by Vietnam Social Insurance, is because January 1-2/3 coincides with a day off (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and March 3 on Monday - the first day of the week, often congested due to many transactions - so Hanoi Social Insurance has registered with a bank to transfer money to people on March 4. This is to ensure that people receive money in the most convenient way.
Because Hanoi Social Insurance currently directly pays pensions and social insurance benefits to people, Hanoi Social Insurance has prepared more than VND 4,025 billion to pay pensions and social insurance benefits to nearly 600,000 people. Of which, payment by transfer to personal accounts is nearly 99% of the total number of recipients on 4.3; nearly 7,000 cash recipients will be paid by Hanoi Social Insurance in coordination with the Post Office after 4.3" - Mr. Phan Van Men said.
Mr. Phan Van Men provided more information in the months of 2025, if the 2nd falls on a holiday - the payment schedule will start from the first working day after the holiday. For those who receive pensions and social insurance benefits in cash, the Social Insurance agency will coordinate with the Post Office to pay after the payment date via personal accounts.
Currently, the Social Insurance agency and related units are actively focusing on coordinating the handling so that pensioners, social insurance beneficiaries, etc. can receive full benefits as soon as possible.
In case the beneficiary has declared and registered to receive pensions, social insurance benefits... with the correct bank account number, leading to not receiving the payment period's money, the beneficiary must immediately prepare a notice of change of beneficiary information according to form No. 2-CBH to re-declare the bank account number to the Social Insurance agency so that the Social Insurance agency has a basis to transfer the regime money to the personal account as soon as possible, ensuring the rights of the beneficiary.

Through electronic transactions: Beneficiaries register to receive the authentication code and send the electronic file to the Vietnam Social Insurance Public Service Portal or via the I-VAN Organization (if registered to use the I-VAN service); in case they do not convert the paper file to electronic format, send the paper file to the Social Insurance agency by post; send the file by post; submit directly to the dossier receiving department of the provincial or district social insurance agency or the Payment Points of the postal agency.
