From now until the end of 2025, the Executive Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor will focus on implementing 7 key tasks.
In particular, the most important focus is on performing the task of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; Improving the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization work; Innovation in the content and form of emulation organization and improving the quality of reward work; Building a strong Trade Union organization, paying attention to attracting workers in enterprises to the Vietnam Trade Union; Improving the quality of women's work; implementing gender equality; enhancing care and protection of the rights of female workers; Building financial resources to effectively perform the functions and tasks of the Trade Union organization and Improving the quality of inspection and supervision work of the Trade Union in the new situation.
After merging the Labor Federations of Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces, arranging units and organizations, the number of union members in Ca Mau decreased sharply.
Faced with this reality, the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor has set out a number of key tasks such as: Completing the Steering Committee for developing union members, establishing grassroots unions; surveying and counting enterprises without union organizations, thereby establishing a specialized working group to mobilize the establishment; at the same time, coordinating with the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Finance, the Department of Social Insurance, Tax, the Management Board of Economic Zones, Industrial Parks... to develop union members and establish grassroots unions.
Innovating propaganda methods, proactively approaching workers to mobilize and explain their rights when joining the Vietnam Trade Union; effectively using social networks, such as: Zalo, Facebook, union fanpages... Organizing direct communication sessions at businesses, boarding houses, especially focusing on young workers, shift workers, seasonal workers...
The Provincial Federation of Labor continues to seek partners to expand "Welfare for union members" programs, such as: Reducing purchasing prices, providing free medical examinations for workers in difficult circumstances... Maintaining effective programs The programs "Tet Sum Vay", "Worker's Month", "Union Shelter" ...
better coordinate with the Party Committee, the Government and relevant sectors to build a mechanism for coordinating the development of union members, establishing grassroots unions in residential areas, industrial clusters, and concentrated production areas.
Applying information technology, digitalizing union member management, deploying and updating union member management software (according to the system of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor).
Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor Huynh Ut Muoi emphasized: The merger of the Labor Federations of Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces and the establishment of the new Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor is an important milestone, opening a period of development of more inheritance, innovation, streamlining and efficiency in trade union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers.
In the new context, continuing to inherit and promote effective models and methods, especially the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, is identified as a key task that needs to be focused on in the last 6 months of 2025 and the following years.
