Right from the beginning of the year, the Standing Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation has focused on directing trade union levels to review and grasp the actual situation at enterprises. Focus is on enterprises in industrial parks, industrial clusters, economic zones and non-state sector enterprises.
The establishment of 4 new grassroots trade unions right from the early days of the year is the result of the persistent propaganda and mobilization process of the team of full-time trade union officials.
Through direct contact and dialogue with employers, the trade union has helped businesses realize their role in protecting workers and is also an important factor in stabilizing workers' mindset and promoting production.
Along with the launch of the grassroots trade union, the new admission of 283 union members is a positive sign, showing the increasing attraction and prestige of the trade union organization to local workers.
Mr. Vu Cao Minh - Standing Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation affirmed: "Each new union member joining not only increases strength in quantity but is also an important resource to deploy emulation movements at the grassroots level.
The Standing Committee has directed grassroots trade unions to well perform their representative roles, protect legitimate and lawful rights and interests, and at the same time widely implement welfare programs for union members”.
