Currently, Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor directly manages more than 204,000 union members, with 2,815 grassroots unions, including 23 commune and ward unions.
In the first 6 months of 2025, Nghe An Trade Unions at all levels have effectively implemented activities to represent, care for, and protect the rights of union members and workers, with many programs of high reach and practicality, contributing to stabilizing workers' lives and accompanying the development of the province.
Nghe An Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have proactively provided legal advice and supported workers' rights in disputes, typically supporting workers of Cua Lo Hotel Company Limited after the enterprise was auctioned, helping 22 workers receive nearly 700 million VND in benefits. In addition, 87 workers were directly and indirectly consulted through many different information channels.
Focus on implementing the theme of the year "Focusing on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party", thereby promoting the emulation movement and developing the Trade Union organization to become stronger and stronger.
During the Lunar New Year and Workers' Month 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized more than 20 "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" programs, taking care of more than 40,000 union members, with a total budget of nearly 40 billion VND. This year's Workers' Month and Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month were organized enthusiastically and effectively, notably the Launching Ceremony with the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Pioneers entering a new era", attracting over 1,000 workers to attend.
Along with that, the work of representing and protecting workers' rights continues to be a key task. The negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements are being accelerated. Notably, the Provincial Federation of Labor continues to implement the Trade Union Meal model and mobilize businesses to adjust the value of shift meals.
In addition, the development of the Trade Union organization continues to be focused on. In 6 months, Nghe An has established 9 new grassroots unions with more than 1,300 union members, admitting nearly 12,000 new union members to units with union organizations. 1,468 outstanding union members were introduced to the Party for consideration of admission.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, in an interview with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Kha Van Tam - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor - emphasized that Nghe An Trade Union will continue to enhance its representative role, care for the material and spiritual life of workers, step up inspection and supervision of the implementation of labor laws, and enhance dialogue and negotiation at enterprises. Strengthen the development of union members, establish grassroots unions with the motto that wherever there are enterprises, there are unions, focusing on the informal sector; Proactively stabilize the organization and ideology of cadres, ensure effective union activities immediately joining the Fatherland Front and operating the government at both levels.
