
The Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor was established on the basis of merging the Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor (old) and the Bac Kan Provincial Federation of Labor (old). The Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, term 2023 - 2028, consists of 26 members.
After the merger, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor has more than 140,000 union members with 549 grassroots unions. In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor admitted nearly 5,500 new union members and established 14 grassroots unions. Activities to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers are promoted.

Since the beginning of the year, practical programs in the series of activities of Workers' Month, legal support, and dialogues with workers are clear evidence of the bridging role of trade unions at all levels. The units have organized 19 classes to disseminate legal knowledge to 1,306 workers and civil servants, 50 training classes and issued cards to 3,806 workers, completing the occupational safety and hygiene training.
Trade unions at all levels in the province have taken care of Tet for 20,525 union members, presented 13,500 discount vouchers worth VND 2,275 billion and organized 181 buses to take and pick up 8,000 workers to their hometowns to celebrate Tet.
The care for workers was demonstrated practically when starting the construction of 11 Trade Union Shelters with a total value of 554 million VND, visiting and giving gifts to 1,390 union members and workers with an amount of over 1.6 billion VND.
In the coming time, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to orient the implementation of activities accompanying workers. Organize 13 post-work programs, coordinate with units to organize creative idea contests to improve work efficiency and labor productivity.
In the context of the country entering a new era, the unit is developing a project to establish a commune, ward and regional trade union under the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, implementing the plan to organize a trade union congress, term 2025-2030. In particular, activities to care for and protect, grasp the thoughts and lives of workers are focused on.
Continue to organize activities to provide practical material and spiritual care, visit and support union members in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses. Build a house for a union shelter, visit and give gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. Closely monitor the implementation of legal policies related to workers. The goal is to accompany, leaving no one behind.
Speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Do Thi Hien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation - affirmed that the process of streamlining the apparatus, the role of representing and caring for workers of the Trade Union organization needs to be demonstrated more flexibly and closely to reality.
"The unit has assigned staff to directly manage the area, grasp the facilities, provide professional guidance, and promptly resolve problems. Practical activities continue to be implemented to promptly encourage and support workers in difficult circumstances. Provincial trade unions at all levels will continue to be a solid bridge to workers and laborers, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members".
