On September 17, Ms. Duong Thi Minh Chau - Head of the Propaganda and Support Department for BHXH participants of Hanoi City - said that in the past time, Vietnam Social Security (BHXH) has directed that the BHXH agency of Hanoi City directly transfer money to pay pensions and social insurance allowances monthly through personal accounts to beneficiaries.
Accordingly, the schedule for paying pensions and social insurance allowances through personal accounts to beneficiaries in Hanoi is on the 2nd working day of the month.
Regarding the payment of pensions and social insurance allowances to beneficiaries in the Capital in October 2026, Ms. Duong Thi Minh Chau - Head of the Propaganda and Support Department for Social Insurance participants of Hanoi City - said: "According to the schedule of monthly pension and social insurance allowance payments in the Capital, which is the 2nd working day of the month, in October 2026, the Social Insurance Agency of Hanoi City will pay beneficiaries through personal accounts on October 2nd (Friday); for cash payments to beneficiaries, the Social Insurance Agency will coordinate with the Post Office to develop a timely payment plan for beneficiaries after October 2nd.
According to representatives of Hanoi Social Insurance, the total number of people on the list paying pensions and social insurance allowances in September 2026 is more than 608,270 people, with a total amount of over 4,547 billion VND. Among them, the number of people receiving through personal ATM accounts: 606,111 people (99.64%), with an amount of over 4,510 billion VND; the number of people receiving in cash at payment points is 2,168 (0.36%), with an amount of over 36.657 billion VND.
According to Vietnam Social Security, 21 provinces and cities pay pensions and social insurance allowances through personal accounts on the first working day of the month; 13 provinces and cities pay on the second working day of the month.

Provinces and cities will pay through accounts on the first working day of the month - October 1 (Thursday): Son La, Dien Bien, Lang Son, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Cao Bang, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Hue, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Ca Mau, Gia Lai, An Giang.
Provinces and cities will pay through accounts on the 2nd working day of the month - October 2nd (Thursday): Hanoi, Lai Chau, Thanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Lao Cai, Quang Ngai, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap.
