Lao Dong Newspaper has just published a series of articles reflecting on the Make Sense product, which was seized by Market Management Team No. 17 of Hanoi City with a quantity of up to 93,500 products.
On the morning of September 16, a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper was directly present at the temporary detention warehouse in Soc Son commune (Hanoi), where more than 93,500 Make Sense products are being temporarily seized, along with many other products such as Bird's Nest skin cream, Sadoer skin essence, Hydrating Facial Mask, and Antisol herbal shampoo to record the reality.
According to records, all the goods were temporarily seized in a very large warehouse. The goods were contained in large sacks, stacked on top of each other and covered with tarpaulins. The products here include Make Sense hairspray and many other types of cosmetics without invoices or documents proving their origin.
Specifically for Make Sense products, the Market Management force seized 85,200 Make Sense hair styling spray products 100ml, 5,000 Make Sense hair styling glue products 50g and 3,300 Make Sense hair styling spray products 9ml. The total number of products belonging to the Make Sense brand seized reached 93,500 products.
According to Market Management Team No. 17, all of these goods are manufactured in China. At the time of inspection, Mr. V.C (the owner of the goods) could not present invoices and related documents; the product was not protected in the Vietnamese market. The value of goods at the listed price is more than 1.6 billion VND.





Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Bui Xuan Hung - Controller of Market Management Team No. 17 of Hanoi City said that, implementing the direction of the leaders of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, the City Market Management Sub-Department, the leaders of Market Management Team No. 17 have directed civil servants in the unit to soon develop and implement plans related to the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, especially violations in the e-commerce environment in the new situation.
According to Mr. Hung, in this period, Market Management Team No. 17 has implemented professional measures, collected information and achieved some remarkable results. In which, noteworthy is the detection and inspection of a warehouse containing goods showing signs of smuggling, related to food and functional foods of unknown origin, without full invoices and documents.
During the inspection process, we struggled and discovered that this warehouse showed signs of containing smuggled goods worth over 2 billion VND," Mr. Hung said.
Regarding the products inspected and discovered at the warehouse, according to Mr. Hung, all of the above-mentioned goods were produced abroad, without full invoices, documents and papers related to the quality of goods. Currently, functional forces are still continuing to handle and will apply handling measures according to regulations.



According to Mr. Hung, among the goods inspected and temporarily seized by Market Management Team No. 17, there is a quantity of counterfeit branded goods in Vietnam. The unit has contacted representatives of brands in Vietnam to verify and determine that some goods are counterfeit goods. For these goods, functional agencies will continue to handle them according to the provisions of law.
With the shipment we inspected, discovered and temporarily seized here, all goods will be handled according to the provisions of law for each group of goods identified as counterfeit brand goods and smuggled goods.
For both counterfeit trademarks and smuggled goods, dossiers will be transferred to competent authorities for administrative sanctions and goods will be destroyed according to the decision of the competent authority," Mr. Hung said.
Market Management Team No. 17 also seized 13,650 supplementary food products labeled Vitamin B Complex, Konily, Neuokiz, Innerva. All goods are supplementary foods manufactured in China. At the time of inspection, Mr. V.C could not present invoices and related documents. The total value of goods is 779 million VND.
Functional forces also seized 12,720 products including decorative lights labeled 398 Mini Elbow Light, handheld electric fans labeled High-speed Fan GFS001, Real Standard phone charger cable, Mumibasisug brand sports shoes, BP102 computer keyboard. All goods are manufactured in China. At the time of inspection, Mr. V.C could not present invoices and related documents. The value of violating goods according to the listed price is more than 117 million VND.
Market Management Team No. 17 seized 785 products showing signs of counterfeiting Philips, Banobagi, Vichy brands being protected in Vietnam. The value of goods at listed prices is 68.8 million VND.
