Can't wait for Tet
Although there are still about 2 months left until Tet, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Thi (a garment worker in Can Tho City) is eagerly looking forward to returning home to see her children after a year apart.
It is known that Ms. Thi left her hometown in Ca Mau to work as a factory worker in Can Tho in 2019. Due to her lonely and difficult circumstances, Ms. Thi will limit her return to her hometown if there is nothing important. Except for Tet, Ms. Thi only sees her children through the phone screen.
Thanks to the company's stable production situation and guaranteed orders since the beginning of the year, this female worker's income has been maintained. After a year of working, Ms. Thi now has some savings to visit her children.
"This year, many orders have overtime so the income is also high. Thanks to the cheap cost of living, I have also saved more than ten million VND. Now that I have money, I just wait for Tet holiday to go home to visit my children," Ms. Thi said excitedly.
With the long Tet holiday, Ms. Nguyen Thi Den (a worker in Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park, Hau Giang Province) can fulfill her promise to take her child on a trip.
"I promised my child that if he passed the 10th grade exam, I would take him out for Tet. This Tet holiday is long and I have enough savings, so I will keep my promise to my child and encourage him to study well," said Ms. Den.
Expect a good bonus
Along with the excitement and planning for the Tet holiday, workers also expect the company to have a good bonus to have more money for shopping expenses and motivation to stick with the company.
"My child is entering a new school year, so money is a big concern. I hope that from now until the end of the year the company will have more orders. Whether the bonus is small or large, it will help me pay for my child's schooling," said Ms. Den.
It is known that last year, including salary and bonus, this female worker received more than ten million VND. The company's leaders have just announced and encouraged workers to try to ensure orders are on schedule, and the Tet bonus situation will be positive.

With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", Hau Giang Provincial Federation of Labor requires all levels of the local union to review and grasp information about union members in difficult circumstances, promptly mobilize social funds to support gifts such as cash, goods, and give Union Shelters. Especially, support train and bus tickets, arrange vehicles to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet for workers working far away and unable to return home to celebrate Tet.
