The working atmosphere at industrial parks in Phu Tho province in the days leading up to the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 becomes busier than usual. Besides the goal of completing year-end orders, what workers expect is not only the moment of family reunion, but also a worthy recognition after a year of hard work.
Understanding this, trade union levels have proactively coordinated with businesses to ensure Tet salaries and bonuses, considering this an important fulcrum to help stabilize labor relations and retain workers.
In the Da River left bank industrial park, Hoa Binh ward, R Vietnam Technical Research Co., Ltd. - a 100% Japanese-owned enterprise specializing in producing high-end optical lenses is creating stable jobs for nearly 1,000 workers.
With an average income of 8 - 10 million VND/person/month, workers' lives are gradually improving, but what makes them feel secure and attached for a long time is the companionship of the Trade Union organization.
According to Mr. Nguyen Long - Chairman of the Trade Union of R Vietnam Technical Research Co., Ltd., from early on, the trade union executive committee proactively advised and proposed many Tet care plans for workers.
“We and the company's leadership have discussed carefully to ensure that workers receive full salaries, bonuses and Tet gifts. The goal is to have bonuses equal to or higher than in previous years, so that employees can clearly feel the business's concern,” Mr. Long shared.
That joy is clearly visible on the face of Ms. Bui Thi Mai, a worker in a production team of the company. She said that from 2022 to now, Tet every year is always better than the previous year.
Tet gifts and bonuses are at least equal to the old year, many years have increased. After a year of hard work, receiving gifts and bonuses at the end of the year is a great encouragement for us to be more attached to the company," Ms. Mai confided.
Not only at this enterprise, at GGS Vietnam Co., Ltd.in the same industrial park, nearly 800 garment workers are also celebrating a Tet season with many expectations. With an average income of 7 - 9 million VND/person/month, workers are attached to the factory not only because of stable jobs but also because of practical welfare policies.
Ms. Vu Thi Sam - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of GGS Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that the trade union executive committee has negotiated and signed a Collective Labor Agreement with many clauses that are more beneficial than the provisions of law.
Accordingly, employees are given one more day off but still receive the full salary, and are paid the 13th month salary at least equal to the regional salary level; businesses commit not to delay salaries, not to owe social insurance.
Statistics show that currently industrial parks in Phu Tho province have more than 800 operating businesses, creating jobs for over 300,000 workers. In that context, the role of grassroots trade unions is increasingly affirmed, especially in representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, especially the 13th month salary and Tet bonus regimes.
Ms. Banh Hai Ninh - Deputy Head of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks, Phu Tho Provincial Labor Federation - said that trade union levels are synchronously implementing many Tet care solutions. First of all, it is to coordinate with businesses to ensure salaries, bonuses and welfare for workers during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
In parallel with that, the trade union pays special attention to union members and workers in difficult circumstances through many resources: financial resources of grassroots trade unions, upper-level trade unions, socialization sources and support from businesses themselves.
