While friends choose to return to their hometowns with their families or travel during the National Day holiday on September 2nd, Le Ngoc Hieu - a second-year student at a university in Gia Lam commune (Hanoi) is busy at the construction site of the Ring Road 2.5 project (Cau Giay section - Dich Vong New Urban Area, Cau Giay ward).
The teacher born in 2007 (from Cac Son commune, Thanh Hoa) has started to get acquainted with manual labor since 11th grade.
After entering university, besides class time, I take advantage of free time to work part-time.

Before working at the Ring Road 2.5 project site for about 3 weeks now, Hieu used to do many other jobs such as selling goods or assisting at projects in Hai Phong, Hung Yen (during summer vacation).
The distance from the school to the construction site is about 20km, but Hieu still regularly travels by motorbike.
On days with morning classes, I take advantage of moving to the construction site to have lunch with the workers and then start the afternoon shift.
On days off from Saturday to the end of Monday, Hieu stays at the construction site to work full-time to increase income.
Each week, Hieu works from 3 to 4 working days with an income of about 500,000 VND/day.
Hieu's main job at the Ring Road 2.5 project construction site is to help with cleaning, mixing cement and supporting infrastructure construction stages.
Despite the hard work, often working in hot and dusty weather, Hieu still maintains an optimistic spirit and sees this as an experience for himself.
According to Hieu, working at the project, although it takes a lot of effort and it is difficult to stick with it for a long time, it brings good income and relatively proactive time thanks to the acquaintance with the workers in the team.
My parents in the countryside are both workers, with low incomes, so the money earned from the construction site helps me cover personal living expenses, reducing the financial burden for my parents" - Hieu said.

In the days when the whole country enters the holiday season, at the construction site of Ring Road 2.5 section Cau Giay - Dich Vong New Urban Area, the construction atmosphere is still extremely urgent.
Dozens of workers are still clinging to the construction site, accepting to put aside the joy of family reunion to work overtime, working throughout the holiday.
Mr. Bui Khac Thiet (48 years old, from Thanh Hoa) shared that although it is a holiday, the brothers still voluntarily stayed with the determination to speed up the progress and soon complete the items to clear the route according to the city's requirements.
For freelancers like Mr. Thiet, maintaining a continuous working pace not only helps ensure the overall progress of key projects but also brings a stable income to cover living expenses and raise children to study.

Sharing about the construction organization during the holidays, Mr. Do Van Giap - Commander of the 2.5 Ring Road project section Cau Giay - Dich Vong New Urban Area, Song Hong Joint Stock Company said that all forces at the construction site are determined to stick to their positions, striving to accelerate each item of work.
According to Mr. Giap, the labor force is mostly people far from home, moving during holidays is often difficult and takes a lot of time, disrupting the construction pace. Therefore, the construction site command has proactively planned to encourage and care for the material and spiritual life, helping workers to feel secure in staying to work.
