Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation informed that the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union of Dai Dung Central Steel Structure Joint Stock Company has just coordinated with the company's leadership to organize the awarding of support of over 96 million VND to the family of Mr. Dang Van Chuong, a company union member who passed away due to a serious illness.
Mr. Dang Van Chuong (born in 1985, residing in Trung An village, Binh Son commune, Quang Ngai province) is a worker at Dai Dung Central Steel Structure Joint Stock Company. Mr. Chuong is always known by colleagues as a diligent, dedicated and responsible worker.
Unexpected disaster struck when he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, a form of malignant blood cancer. Although he had been taken by his family for treatment at many major hospitals, due to the severe progression of the disease and many dangerous complications, Mr. Chuong could not fight the disease and passed away at a young age.
His passing left pain for a family that was already very difficult. His wife suffered from ovarian cysts, no longer able to work; two children are still young, in school age.
Faced with Mr. Chuong's extremely difficult circumstances, right from when he was still being treated at the hospital, the company's grassroots trade union (CĐCS) sent a letter calling for companionship and sharing from colleagues in the company.
After a short period of launching, the program has received sympathy and response from the collective of union members, workers (CNLĐ) throughout the company and many organizations and individuals.
The Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union and the Board of Directors of the company visited, encouraged and presented a total support amount of 96.2 million VND to Mr. Dang Van Chuong's family. Of which, 73.2 million VND was donated by union members and workers of the company; 20 million VND was deducted from the "Golden Heart" Fund of Dai Dung Steel Structures Company; 3 million VND was supported by the Provincial Labor Federation.
Although the support money cannot compensate for the family's great loss, it is a gift with profound human values, promptly supporting Mr. Chuong's wife and children. This act of gratitude is proof of the spirit of mutual affection, companionship, protection and sharing of union members and workers with the Trade Union organization.
