According to Lao Dong's records on June 1, the construction of the Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section, is being synchronously deployed on the entire route by the contractor.
In which, half of the road surface from Nguyen Chi Thanh street to Thanh Cong street, about 500m long, has been asphalted concrete, serving people's travel.
Before Tet Nguyen Dan, the section from Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital to Voi Phuc intersection with a length of about 350m was also asphalted half of the road surface.
Witnessing the Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section, being accelerated in construction, many people living along the route expressed their excitement, and at the same time expected the project to be completed soon to reduce congestion and improve the living environment.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Bao (Giang Vo ward) said that the fact that some sections of the route have been paved with asphalt concrete makes travel more convenient than before.
According to Mr. Bao, in the past time, the construction process has caused many difficulties in movement due to barriers, dust and prolonged congestion, but people all share because this is an important infrastructure project of the city.
People really hope that the project will continue to be constructed drastically to soon complete the entire route synchronously. When the road is clear, it will reduce traffic pressure for the Nguyen Chi Thanh, De La Thanh areas and neighboring routes," Mr. Bao said.
Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thu Trang (doing business on Thanh Cong street) said that the contractor's continuous construction helps people clearly feel the urgent atmosphere at the construction site.
Ms. Trang hopes that after completion, the road will contribute to urban embellishment, creating a more spacious appearance for the central area.
People only hope that the project will soon reach the finish line so that life can stabilize again. In recent months, although business has been affected, everyone hopes that the project will be completed on schedule to make traffic more convenient," Ms. Trang shared.
According to records, in addition to some locations that have been asphalted, some sections are under construction to the crushed stone layer.
Two overpasses on the route are also being urgently constructed, of which the Lang Ha overpass has completed 6/6 pillars, and the Nguyen Chi Thanh overpass is constructing main pillars.
The project to invest in the construction of Ring Road 1, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section has a total length of about 2,274km, with a cross-section scale of 50m.
The first point intersects with Cat Linh - La Thanh - Yen Lang road at Hoang Cau; The end point is at Voi Phuc intersection.
The project has a total investment of more than 7,210 billion VND, invested by the Hanoi Civil Engineering Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The total recovered area is about 153,341m2, related to 1,983 households and organizations in the former Dong Da and Ba Dinh districts (now O Cho Dua, Giang Vo and Lang wards).
The project implementation period is from 2018 - 2020, but it will not be until the end of 2025 that the wards will complete site clearance to hand over to the investor to implement the project.
It is expected that before September 2, the project will complete the entire roadbed, and complete the two overpasses before December 31, 2026.
