On July 10, the Vietnam Fisheries Union said it had visited and supported fishermen in distress in the QN-90568-TS fishing boat sinking incident.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Fisheries Union in coordination with the Hai Ha Fisheries Union (Quang Ninh) visited and provided support from the Vietnam Fisheries Humanitarian Fund to the family of the owner of fishing vessel QN-90568-TS that encountered an accident in the shipwreck at sea on July 3, 2026; and at the same time awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Fisheries Union to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in rescuing crew members.

Visiting, supporting and rewarding activities are implemented promptly, showing the concern and companionship of trade unions and fishing unions towards fishermen who unfortunately encounter risks at sea; thereby continuing to spread the spirit of solidarity, mutual affection, and readiness to help each other when encountering disasters in the process of seafood exploitation at sea between fishing workers.

Thanks to the urgent rescue, sense of responsibility and compassionate coordination of fishing boats operating at sea, all 7/7 crew members on fishing boat QN-90568-TS were safely rescued on July 3, 2026.
