Model of grassroots trade union twinning with trade unions
On the afternoon of May 30, at Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd., Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, Da Nang City organized a program to sign a coordination and twinning agreement between the grassroots trade union of Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd. and Duy Hai Fisheries Trade Union; awarding resource support in 2026 to fisheries trade union members and trade union members in difficult circumstances.
Ms. Lam Thi Vy - Chairwoman of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union said: this is the second unit to be connected by Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union to implement the model of twinning between grassroots trade unions and fishing trade unions in 2026, after the model of twinning between the grassroots Trade Union of My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board and Duy Vinh Fishing Trade Union.
Continuing to replicate the model in Workers' Month 2026 shows the practical direction of the Commune Trade Union in innovating operations, strongly focusing on grassroots levels, taking care of the right subjects, the right needs of union members, workers and fishermen.
At the program, Mr. Le Tam - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd. and Mr. Vo Quoc Hai - Chairman of Duy Hai Fisheries Union signed a cooperation and sisterhood program for the period 2026–2030.
The signed content focuses on caring for union members and fishermen in difficult circumstances; supporting the construction and repair of houses; supporting trade union operating expenses; organizing exchanges, visits, health care; propagating laws, labor safety in the marine profession, protecting the marine environment and preventing and combating IUU fishing.
Giving resources to union members in difficult circumstances
The highlight of the program is the practical resource support for union members in difficult circumstances. Mr. Phan Ngoc Anh - Director of Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd. presented support of 50,000 bricks, total value of 90 million VND, to 5 cases of housing difficulties.
In which, 4 members of Duy Hai Fisheries Trade Union were supported with construction materials for building and repairing houses and 1 member of the Trade Union of Nam Phuoc Market Management Board was supported to build a "Trade Union Shelter".
Along with the source of construction material support, Phan Ngoc Anh Building Materials Co., Ltd. donated 10 million VND of operating fund in 2026 to Duy Hai Fisheries Trade Union, contributing to creating more conditions for the trade union to organize activities, visit, care for union members and maintain activities suitable to the specific characteristics of the fishing profession.
After the signing program, Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd. supported the organization of the "Trade Union Meal" exchange between union members, employees of the company's grassroots trade union and members of Duy Hai Fisheries Trade Union.
On this occasion, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union awarded free dental check-up vouchers to 200 union members and employees of Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd. from the companion fund of Tam Tri Quang Nam General Hospital. This is a practical welfare activity in Workers' Month, contributing to caring for the health and lives of union members and employees at the enterprise.
According to Ms. Lam Thi Vy, the model of twinning between grassroots trade unions of enterprises and fishing trade unions is not just an exchange activity, but a planned, addressed, targeted and specific result-oriented companionship.
One side is union members and workers in enterprises; the other side is union members and fishermen working day and night at sea, facing many difficulties and risks but still persistently reaching out to sea, sticking to the sea, developing family economy and contributing to protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
