On June 21, at the "Giving Health - Legal Advice to Workers - For a Healthy Vietnam" Day 2026, chaired by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, assigned to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation in coordination with the Central Vietnam Young Physicians Association and Vietnam Bar Federation to organize at Binh Duong International Exhibition Center, thousands of workers had a special day of experience.

Amidst the bustling atmosphere of the festival, Ms. Le Thi Ut (Binh Co ward) quietly lined up waiting for her turn to be examined. Her face was tired but still shining with excitement when she was supported by the trade union and businesses to participate in the program.
Ms. Ut said that working as a janitor with a salary of about 6 - 7 million VND per month, she has to save every expense to raise her children. For many years, her health has declined, affecting her work as well. She suffers from heart ischemia, often has pain in her hands and feet, so she has to go for regular check-ups every month and take medicine regularly every day. However, going for external check-ups is both costly and takes a lot of waiting time, making life, which is already difficult, even more stressful.
Today, I was supported by the Trade Union to go for a free medical examination, so I am very happy. I will have my heart checked, blood tests and osteoporosis measured fully. When I am sick a lot, living expenses must be sparing, and meals must also be cut to save money for sickness prevention. Now that the Trade Union and the company are interested in and supporting me like this, I feel very warm and more reassured," Ms. Ut shared.
Not only being health checked, she also received practical gifts such as milk, fish sauce... enough to use for many weeks. For her, this is not only material support but also spiritual encouragement to continue to feel secure in working and raising children.
In another area of the festival, Ms. L.T.T. D (a worker residing in Hoa Loi ward) entered the legal advice room with many concerns about social insurance benefits and unemployment benefits when intending to quit her job.
In just about 30 minutes, her problems were answered clearly and specifically by lawyers of the Vietnam Bar Federation. Each regulation on social insurance, severance regime, and employee benefits was easily analyzed, helping her grasp the necessary information.
“Before, I thought I had to go to a lawyer's office to get advice, but today it only took me a little time and I understood my rights clearly. I feel much more secure,” Ms. D said.

According to the organizers, this year's program is chaired by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, assigned to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation in coordination with the Central Vietnam Young Physicians Association and Vietnam Bar Federation to organize, with a scale of more than 2,000 workers and laborers participating.
The highlight of the festival is the free health check-up and screening activities according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health, combined with nutritional counseling, occupational health, reproductive health and non-communicable disease prevention. Health data is digitized and updated to the national management system, helping workers monitor for a long time.
In parallel, legal advice activities focus on practical issues such as labor contracts, social insurance, occupational accidents and workers' rights. Many situations are expressed through interactive forms to help workers easily access.
Within the framework of the program, the organizers also presented 100 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, and at the same time organized exchange activities, health communication and social security booths.
Not only is it a festival, the program is also an opportunity for workers to be comprehensively cared for in terms of health, spiritual life and legal knowledge, contributing to building a stronger and more resilient Vietnamese worker team in the new period.
