On June 20, at the An Giang Provincial Labor Culture House (Long Xuyen ward), the Provincial Labor Federation organized the 2026 Summer Camp program with the theme "Learning skills - Experiencing joyfully". 100 children of union members and workers (NLĐ) belonging to grassroots trade unions in the area participated.
Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Nhat Tien said that this is an activity that the Provincial Labor Federation maintains and organizes annually to respond to the Action Month for Children, creating a healthy and useful playground for children of union members and workers during the summer. This year, the program is designed in the direction of strengthening practical experience activities, helping children both play, interact and be equipped with more necessary knowledge and skills in life.

The highlight of the summer camp is the specialized topic of propaganda and guidance on fire prevention, fighting and rescue skills directly implemented by the Fire and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police.
Unlike the usual form of propaganda, officers and soldiers have built many hypothetical situations close to reality for the children to directly participate in handling. Although the subjects are children, the unit still prepares sufficient specialized vehicles and equipment to serve training work such as fire trucks, fire extinguishers, gas cylinders and many other professional equipment.
Under the guidance of functional forces, the children practiced identifying fire and explosion risks, handling situations arising when a fire occurs, safe escape skills and using fire extinguishers correctly. Many children were exposed to specialized vehicles of the fire prevention and fighting force for the first time, and they were very excited to participate in the practice part.
In addition to skill activities, the children also participate in many team games, movement games, treasure hunting activities and team challenges built by the Organizing Committee. The games require coordination between members, observation ability, handling situations and spirit of mutual support to complete tasks.

Through physical games, treasure hunting activities and team challenges, children are trained in coordination skills, teamwork and a sense of responsibility. The program atmosphere is always lively with the enthusiastic participation of the teams.
In addition to experiential activities, children also enjoyed many art performances and martial arts performances by clubs operating at the Provincial Labor Culture House, contributing to creating more attraction for the program.
Nguyen Dang Khoa - a 4th grade student at Le Loi Elementary School, whose mother works at the Provincial Social Insurance Trade Union - said: "I find the program very useful. I learned many new skills, especially fire prevention and fighting skills and how to handle emergencies. I also got to know many new friends and participated in many very fun games.
Cao Huu Phuoc - a 9th grade student at Ly Thuong Kiet Secondary School, whose mother works at An Giang General Hospital - shared: "I like team activities the most because everyone has to coordinate together to complete tasks. The program helps me have the opportunity to interact, learn and practice more necessary skills in life.
As a parent whose child participated in the summer camp, Ms. Mai Phuong Ly, Member of the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union of Loc Troi Group Joint Stock Company, assessed that this is a practical activity for children of union members and workers.
The program is organized thoughtfully, with rich content, suitable for the age of the children. The children can both play and be equipped with many useful skills. We hope the Provincial Labor Federation will continue to maintain this activity annually and if possible, can organize more sightseeing and picnic programs so that the children have more opportunities to experience reality," Ms. Ly said.
