Income reached 10,185 thousand VND/person/month
Up to this point, the Da Nang City Labor Federation is managing 2,067 grassroots trade unions and trade unions with 236,024 members, of which industrial parks have 284 grassroots trade unions with 90,335 members.
According to data from Da Nang Statistics, the average income of paid workers in 2025 in the city reached 10,185 thousand VND/person/month, an increase of 9.9% compared to 2024, equivalent to an increase of 919 thousand VND.
The increase in income and wages of workers is mainly due to the stable recovery of business production and business activities, increased labor demand and wage adjustments to stabilize labor relations.
In recent years, the average consumer price index (CPI) has increased. 2025 increased compared to 2024, mainly due to price fluctuations of some essential commodity groups. The average for the first 6 months of 2026 increased by 4.80% compared to the average of the same period in 2025.
The housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials group increased by 9.05%; the transportation group increased by 6.36%; the food group increased by 5.13% and the out-of-home eating group increased by 5.05%; the education services group increased by 4.92%.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh - Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said: if comparing the average income of paid workers and the consumer price index, it can be seen that with the above income level, workers will still face many difficulties in life.
The housing demand of workers is still very large
Another issue is living conditions, especially housing for workers. After the merger, Da Nang City People's Committee issued a Plan to implement the Project "Investing in building at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period 2021 - 2030".
In which, the city has selected 46 land plots with a total area of 134 hectares that meet the feasible conditions for social housing development in the period 2025 - 2030 with a total expected scale of about 42,700 units.
At the same time, Da Nang city assigned the Department of Construction to continue reviewing land funds with suitable locations and synchronous infrastructure to supplement and call for investment in social housing to meet the social housing targets for the period 2025 - 2030 and subsequent years.
In the period 2021 - 2025, Da Nang city (after merger) has completed 6 social housing projects with 4,880 apartments that can be arranged for workers and laborers in industrial parks to rent and buy according to the provisions of the Housing Law.
The city has proactively reviewed the land fund, introducing a land area of about 2.3 hectares in Hai Van ward, Da Nang city for the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to deploy social housing investment from trade union financial sources.
Da Nang City also requested the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to survey and comment on the implementation of investment in the construction of the Hoa Cam Industrial Park Workers' Housing project (phase 2) using trade union financial resources.
However, in reality, the housing demand of workers is still very large, but the supply is not enough, and high prices make it difficult for workers to access. Therefore, housing is still the top concern of workers today, especially migrant workers," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh.
