Technology initiatives from universities
One of the outstanding marks at the 2025 Creative Labor Festival is the automatic robot system introduced by the Vietnam Education Trade Union. Products of scientists from Phenikaa University, University of Transport, Hue University... have been exported to a number of countries around the world and effectively applied in production as well as in life.
In particular, the "Smart autonomous Robots Solution and the comprehensive coordination system "Make in Vietnam" applying the factory, warehouse and library environment" of Phenikaa University. This solution supports the transportation of goods in factories and warehouses without the need for direct human intervention.
In addition, the University of Transport also introduced the Autumn-powered drone system that automatically detects cracks on the surface of concrete bridge girders, helping to handle damage faster and more safely. Hue University's product with " application of AI and IoT technology in the development of autonomous robots" also has the ability to identify and classify plastic waste during the production process, contributing to reducing environmental pollution.
According to Dr. Dang Hoang Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam Education Trade Union, in the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution and digital transformation, the application of AI is an inevitable trend in many fields.
Not only in the education sector, I think that the manufacturing labor sector also needs modern technologies and if AI is applied to production, it will have great meaning and value because it can increase labor productivity and work efficiency - Dr. Dang Hoang Anh said.
