Unemployment benefit filers in Ho Chi Minh City decreased by 15.23%

    HCMC - In the first 5 months of 2025, the number of unemployment benefit applications decreased by 15.23% compared to the same period in 2024.

    On June 8, Ms. Nguyen Van Hanh Thuc - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center - said that from the beginning of the year to the end of May 2025, this center has received 50,831 cases of application for unemployment benefits.

    Compared to the same period in 2024, the number of applications for unemployment benefits has decreased by 9,133 applications (down 15.23%).

    The Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center has submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs to sign and issue 45,620 decisions on unemployment benefits for employees and 209,484 people reported on monthly employment status.

    Of which, the total number of unemployment benefit application files received by people on the Public Service Portal is 25,083/50,83 images, accounting for 49.35%.

    The number of unemployment benefit application files received directly is 25,748/50,831, accounting for 50.65%.
