On June 1, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Le Hai Ly - Director of the Dak Lak Provincial Employment Service Center - said: "From the beginning of 2025 until now, the unit has encountered many difficulties in implementing job fairs in localities".
According to Mr. Ly, this situation occurs because the funding source for implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2025 has not been allocated. At the same time, the transitional capital from 2024 to only about 1 billion VND. With this amount of money, it is very difficult for the center to effectively implement the assigned functions and tasks.
People in remote districts and communes, especially disadvantaged areas in the province, are looking for jobs and stabilizing their lives. However, the roads in many places are difficult to travel, so people want job fairs to be held right in their locality.
"Since the beginning of the year, due to the busy work of merging provinces and implementing two-level governments, some local Party committees and authorities have not paid attention and closely coordinated with the center. Therefore, the unit's propaganda, consulting, domestic job introduction and labor export activities face many difficulties," Mr. Ly added.
According to statistics from the Dak Lak Provincial Employment Service Center, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the unit has chaired and coordinated with relevant parties to organize 17 sessions and job fairs (a decrease of 7 sessions and job fairs compared to the same period in 2024). At the same time, job, career and policy advice was provided to 21,400 people and 1,210 workers were employed.
Compared to the same period in 2023 and 2024, the number of sessions and job fairs organized, the number of workers receiving job, career and job counseling have all decreased.
