Company out of order, forced to stop production
On the afternoon of December 26, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters were present at Panko Vina Co., Ltd. (My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park, Ben Cat ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to record the production situation of the enterprise. Currently, factories are still operating normally, thousands of workers are busy working.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoang - Chairman of the grassroots trade union said that the company's production will be carried out until the end of January 31, 2026. Labor relations are stable, the enterprise does not owe salaries, does not owe social insurance to employees.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoang, the notice of termination of the company's production and business activities in My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park is force majeure.
When the company announced the termination of production and business activities, workers were disappointed with this information. After that, the grassroots trade union also encouraged workers to calmly work to complete the order and let the grassroots trade union negotiate with the business.
Since the COVID-19 epidemic occurred, the enterprise's orders have decreased, not enough to supply 2 factories in Vietnam (1 in Ho Chi Minh City and 1 in Da Nang), so production must be rearranged. The company's orders at My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park will expire in January 2026. Recently, a foreign enterprise planned to buy back, receive Panko Vina Co., Ltd. and continue to organize production here. However, due to order problems, the partner did not continue to sign the transfer. Therefore, the company was forced to make a decision to stop production activities" - Mr. Hoang said.

Hope the company supports workers
Hearing information that the business terminated operations near Tet, many workers were worried. Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Dieu (37 years old) said that she had started working and had been attached to the company for 16 years.
My family is renting a room, the income is only enough to cover living expenses. Now if I lose my job, it is very stressful. I want the company to pay the 13th month salary because I have also worked for the past year. Besides, if possible, I propose that the company provide a severance allowance for employees for 3 months of basic salary. Thereby, employees can cover living expenses and find new jobs" - Ms. Dieu shared.

Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thi Lien (36 years old) has been attached to the company for 15 years. "I know the company is difficult, but workers are also very difficult. I just hope the company will pay the 13th month salary and have a severance allowance to cover living expenses. I live in a rented room, have 2 young children studying, and have to pay 10 million VND per month. If we lose our jobs at this time, we will really be in great difficulty" - Ms. Lien expressed.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoang - Chairman of the company's grassroots trade union said that the unit had met with the managers of all departments, then collected opinions from workers. First, workers hoped the company would pay the 13th month salary. Second, proposed that the company close the insurance contribution period, the salary payment period for January 2026. Third, proposed that the company have a severance allowance equal to 3 months of basic salary for employees.

Currently, the company's grassroots trade union has sent a written petition to the Company's Board of Directors. The enterprise is holding a meeting and will have a working session with functional agencies, after which there will be feedback for employees.
