On March 10, Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee said that in 2025, the number of people participating in compulsory social insurance (BHXH) is 186,350 people (reaching 96.41% compared to the assigned target); voluntary social insurance is 45,732 people (reaching 70.6% compared to the assigned target). The total amount collected from social insurance, health insurance (BHYT), and unemployment insurance (BHTN) is 6,905 billion VND, an increase of 783 billion VND (an increase of 12.8%) compared to the same period, reaching 104.91% of the target assigned by Vietnam Social Security.
The settlement of social insurance and unemployment insurance benefits for employees is timely and accurate. As of December 31, 2025, there were 129,690 dossiers of social insurance benefits settled, an increase of 6.6% compared to 2024; 10,936 unemployment insurance dossiers, an increase of 16% compared to 2024. The total amount of social insurance and unemployment insurance benefits paid is 4,287 billion VND, of which social insurance expenditure is 4,127 billion VND, and unemployment insurance expenditure is nearly 160 billion VND.
The whole province has 2,704,248 health insurance medical examinations and treatments, accounting for 99.4% compared to the assigned estimate, with a total expenditure of 1,453 billion VND. The total amount of late payment of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance is 174 billion VND, accounting for 2.52% of the collected amount.
According to Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee, in 2026, the Provincial Steering Committee strives to complete the target of the rate of development of social insurance participants on the total working age population is 26.5%; the rate of health insurance participation reaches a coverage rate of 95.56% of the population; reduce the rate of late payment of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance to the lowest level, lower than the rate in 2025; ensure that health insurance medical examination and treatment costs in 2026 are paid in accordance with regulations...
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sam - Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee, provincial leaders have requested members of the Steering Committee, agencies, units, and localities to uphold the spirit of responsibility, synchronously, drastically, and effectively implement social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance work in the coming time.

Coordinate to resolve and promptly pay social insurance and health insurance benefits, ensuring the rights of participants; conduct inspection, examination, and finalization of health insurance medical examination and treatment costs at medical examination and treatment facilities in accordance with regulations.
