World oil prices today
World oil prices in the first trading session of the week at one point surged by 25% due to conflicts in the Middle East, then cooled down when there was information about the possibility of easing sanctions on Russian oil. At the end of the first trading session of the week, WTI and Brent oil prices both increased by about 7%.
By this morning's session, both oil items reversed and decreased sharply. At 12:18 PM (Vietnam time), WTI oil price was at 88.79 USD/barrel, down 5.98 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 6.31%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 94.77 USD/barrel; and opened the weekend session at 85.51 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 93.07 USD/barrel, down 5.89 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 5.95%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 98.96 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at 89.00 USD/barrel.
Domestic gasoline prices today
March 9, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:

The above-mentioned domestic retail gasoline and oil prices will be adjusted by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3:00 PM on March 7, 2025.
Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline increased by 3,777 VND/liter compared to; RON95 gasoline increased by 4,707 VND/liter; diesel oil increased by 7,207 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 8,490 VND/liter; mazut oil increased by 3,831 VND/kg.

+ Diesel oil 0.05S - II: 0 VND/liter;
+ Diesel oil 0.001S-V: 0 VND/liter;

Since the price management period of the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance on March 5, many business lines no longer update the discount rates for gasoline and oil items.

According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may continue to increase.
