In Truong Vinh ward, Nghe An province, the Ward Trade Union coordinated with Bao Viet Nhan Tho Nghe An Company to organize the program "Raising Steps for Children to School", giving bicycles and cash to 10 children of workers in particularly difficult circumstances. The total value of gifts is more than 25 million VND.
As part of a series of charitable activities, the Trade Union of Nghe An Orthopedic Trauma Hospital, under the Truong Vinh Ward Trade Union, organized the program "Parental Mother - Connecting Love", sponsoring Nguyen Hai Dang, born in 2018, who is a union member's child in particularly difficult circumstances. Hai Dang's father died in 2024, his mother is a worker, raising two children alone, and the family currently does not have a stable place to live. Faced with that situation, the Trade Union of Nghe An Orthopedic Trauma Hospital sponsored the child for two years 2026 - 2027, with a total budget of 12 million VND. Hai Dang is the 8th case to be connected and supported by the Truong Vinh Ward Trade Union under this program, raising the total support budget to 96 million VND. The sponsorship not only contributes to supporting tuition and living expenses but also creates a spiritual support for the children to overcome difficulties.
Activities to care for children of union members and workers are not only being implemented in one locality but are being implemented by Nghe An Trade Union levels in many forms.
Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation - said that caring for the lives of union members, workers and their families is a regular task of the Trade Union organization.
“At the close of the new school year, Trade Union levels organize many activities such as commendation, awarding scholarships, financial support, giving books and school supplies to children of union members and workers with excellent achievements or difficult circumstances. Thereby, contributing to sharing with families, supporting children to go to school and showing the role of the Trade Union organization in accompanying and caring for workers” - Mr. Kha Van Tam said.
