In July 2026, the demand for recruiting workers with college and university degrees or higher accounted for 47.7% of the total demand in Hanoi.

According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, in July, the demand for labor recruitment in the industrial - construction sector continued to increase rapidly.

The recruitment market in July focuses on industrial production and infrastructure construction, while the office and consumer service sectors tend to temporarily stagnate. In July 2026, the recruitment demand of businesses in the City reached 40,000 positions," said Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center.

Based on the survey and information collection of 7,562 recruitment targets of 1,417 vacant job information at the Center, recruitment demand is concentrated in industry groups such as: Wholesale, retail and other service activities accounting for 52.0%; processing and manufacturing - construction industry accounting for 35.9%; tourism and travel services accounting for 3.2%; transportation - warehousing activities accounting for 1.7%.

In July, the recruitment demand of businesses continued to focus on the group of workers with high qualifications and professional skills. Leading the entire market in recruitment demand is the group of mid-level professionals (21.82%), senior professionals (20.97%) and office assistants (16.31%). This trend affirms the core orientation of many businesses to prioritize high-quality human resources to optimize operational efficiency.

In the opposite direction, the direct labor force at the production line and frontline groups has a recruitment demand at a moderate to fairly good level, specifically machinery and equipment assembly workers (9.46%), service and sales staff (9.32%) and simple labor (8.40%). This shows that Hanoi's labor market is showing a trend of valuing talents with high technical expertise, while maintaining the supply of direct production labor to promote the growth momentum of businesses.

The recruitment structure according to professional and technical qualifications in July is also clearly shown with a strong differentiation trend. The peak segment (people with college and university degrees or higher) accounts for nearly half of the recruitment demand (of which university degrees or higher reach 27.2%, college degrees reach 20.5%), affirming the top priority of businesses in attracting well-educated forces to take on core professional, technical and management positions.

The group of low-skilled workers (untrained workers accounting for 24.2% and unskilled technical workers accounting for 10.5%) maintained at 1/3 of the recruitment demand, reflecting a strong attraction for direct labor to serve production lines, factory operation, infrastructure construction and general services. Meanwhile, the segment between intermediate level (15.0%) and elementary level (2.7%) has been significantly narrowed, to only a total of 17.7%.

Regarding salary levels, the salary range of 10-20 million VND/month accounts for an absolute leading position with 53.3%; the salary range of 5-10 million VND/month ranks second with 37.6% and the high salary range over 20 million VND/month accounts for 8.8%. The technical - construction block still maintains its breakthrough and is isolated with the income of engineers, highly skilled workers and professional mechanics ranging from 16 - 65 million VND/month depending on the job position.
