On June 17, An Giang Provincial Labor Federation continued to bring gifts from the "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" Program to union members and workers (NLĐ) suffering from dangerous diseases and occupational diseases in difficult circumstances at businesses and units in the province.
At the grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of An Giang Samho Co., Ltd., CĐCS of TBS An Giang Joint Stock Company and CĐCS of An Giang Heart Hospital, the working delegation led by Mr. Do Tran Thinh - Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation directly visited, encouraged and presented 29 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances due to serious illnesses and occupational diseases.
At the places visited, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh cordially inquired about the health and life situation and presented gifts directly to union members. The comrade said that these are gifts supported by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor through the "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" Program. Each gift, although not of great material value, is the feeling, concern and responsibility of the Trade Union organization towards union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Comrade wished union members to continue to maintain an optimistic spirit, actively treat illnesses, overcome difficulties in life, feel secure in their work and continue to accompany businesses. At the same time, promote the spirit of creative labor, actively emulate labor production, contributing to improving labor productivity and operational efficiency of units and businesses; thereby creating stable jobs and increasing income for workers.
In addition, Mr. Do Tran Thinh also provided general information to union members and workers about some outstanding results of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, especially the policies that strongly focus on grassroots levels, taking union members and workers as the center of care activities.
Previously, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation and Mr. Pham Van Dang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation directly led working delegations to businesses and the residences of union members' families to visit, encourage, and give gifts to union members suffering from dangerous diseases, occupational diseases, and labor accidents in difficult circumstances.
Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour directly went to An Giang to visit and present 4 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances before the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
The Provincial Labor Federation also awarded 23 support scholarships to union members suffering from critical illnesses at An Giang bridge point in the online program of the launching ceremony of the emulation movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income" organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The program "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" has supported union members in An Giang with 237 gifts worth 357 million VND, including 80 gifts for people with critical illnesses, occupational diseases, and occupational accidents with a level of 2 million VND in cash and in kind worth 500,000 VND/person; and 157 gifts for people with critical illnesses and occupational accidents with a level of 1 million VND/person.
