The Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation said that the promulgation of the Plan on union member development, establishing grassroots trade unions annually and for the entire term to specifically implement the program of striving to organize the implementation to achieve and exceed the targets according to the set plan.
The implementation process has always received the attention and leadership of the Party Committee; supported by the government and businesses, creating favorable conditions in all aspects, so the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in the past time has been basically favorable and achieved good results.

Right from the beginning of the year, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation proactively advised the Party Committee at the same level to issue directing documents to strengthen the leadership of the Party Committee in the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions. Issuing a notice assigning the Standing Committee to directly monitor and direct clusters throughout the province and assigning full-time Trade Union officials to actively approach businesses to establish grassroots trade unions. Thanks to that, the number of union members and grassroots trade unions continues to increase, and the role of the Trade Union organization is increasingly affirmed. To date, the total number of grassroots trade unions in agencies, organizations, and units is 685 with more than 117,000 union members.
However, the Provincial Labor Federation believes that the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions still has some limitations and difficulties: The development of union members and the establishment of grassroots trade unions is not commensurate with the development of business types and employees; the number of small and medium-sized enterprises accounts for a high proportion, using very little labor; the awareness of some employers about the role and position of the Trade Union organization is still limited... Especially, in the context of digital transformation, deep international integration and the strong development of the private economy, the requirements set for the Trade Union organization are increasingly higher.
From the experience and results of implementation, the Provincial Labor Federation proposed a number of specific solutions such as continuing to consolidate the Steering Committee for union member development and establishment of grassroots trade unions in communes, wards, and special zones, striving for all steering committees to have representatives of Party committees, state management agencies of localities and sectors participating to create strength for union member development and establishment of grassroots trade unions.
Innovate the content and methods of propaganda, mobilization, and methods of gathering and developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions. Promote propaganda, focus resources on reviewing and developing plans for developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in units and enterprises that do not yet have a Trade Union organization. In which, special attention should be paid to enterprises that have been operating for many years but have not yet established grassroots trade unions.

Forms of propaganda and mobilization are suitable for each object, characteristics of the production and business situation of enterprises and industries. Continue to innovate the content and methods, improve the quality and efficiency of grassroots trade union activities, strengthen the role of commune, ward, and special zone trade unions in guiding, supporting, and leading grassroots trade union activities; take union members as the objects of mobilization and as the subjects deciding the activities of grassroots trade unions.
The content of grassroots trade union activities needs to be focused and practical, related to union members' rights and interests, associated with the political tasks of agencies, units, businesses, and localities. Build harmonious labor relations, regularly listen to opinions, thoughts, and aspirations of union members to promptly solve urgent issues that union members are concerned about.
