On January 28, the Labor Federation of Hoa Binh province informed that as of January 24, 22 enterprises (out of 76 non-state enterprises owing union fees of more than VND 9 billion) had completed the payment with a total amount of about VND 2.4 billion.
The units that paid included: Luong Son Mineral Exploitation Joint Stock Company; Cat Hai Joint Stock Company; Phuong Nam Limited Liability Company; Thien Ha Limited Liability Company; Viet A Metalworking Mechanical Joint Stock Company Branch in Hoa Binh; Dinh Nhuan Trading Joint Stock Company; TTH Mai Da Limited Liability Company; Long Tuyet One Member Limited Liability Company, Bong Mai Private Kindergarten; Viet Dung Coal Trading Limited Liability Company - Lac Son High-class Brick and Tile Factory Branch; Tuan Khanh Private Enterprise; Tuan Khanh Commerce Joint Stock Company; Hill Hydropower Limited Liability Company; Phu Thanh Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company; Xuan Thanh Construction and Trade Company Limited; Wilson Hoa Binh Joint Stock Company; Thanh Son One Member Limited Company.
The total accumulated union fee debt as of January 24 was 54 units, with a total amount of more than 7.2 billion VND.
Enterprises that are slow to implement and some enterprises that have not fully implemented the deduction and payment of union fees are as follows: Hong An Shoe Joint Stock Company owes nearly 2.6 billion VND; Thanh Bien Electronics and Telecommunications Joint Stock Company owes 170 million VND; X18 Cement Joint Stock Company owes nearly 300 million VND; RNS Global Garment Limited Company owes more than 450 million VND; SMA VINA Viet Han Import-Export Garment Joint Stock Company owes more than 1.1 billion VND; Minh Trung Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company's Hoa Binh branch owes more than 230 million VND; Song Hong Production Joint Stock Company's Song Da Factory branch owes more than 270 million VND; Trung Son Cement One Member Limited Liability Company owes nearly VND900 million.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article “76 units in Hoa Binh owe more than VND9 billion in union fees” reflecting on the fact that a series of enterprises are late in paying union fees, affecting the operating budget of unions at all levels in performing their functions of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers.
Faced with the situation that many enterprises have not seriously implemented the regulations on deducting and paying 2% of trade union funds, the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province has directed departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, cities, and enterprises of all economic sectors to seriously implement the direction of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing Article 26 of the Trade Union Law 2012.
At the same time, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Management Board of Industrial Parks of the province, the People's Committees of districts and cities are assigned to direct relevant departments and branches to closely coordinate with the Labor Federation at the same level, industry trade unions to organize work, actively discuss with leaders of units and enterprises in the area that still owe trade union funds (according to the list provided by the Provincial Labor Federation) to propagate, mobilize, and help units and enterprises to properly perceive their responsibilities and obligations to fully and promptly pay trade union funds in accordance with the provisions of law...
