Inventing plastic bottle stacking machines earns billions of dong each year

At B.V Plastic Joint Stock Company (Binh Hoa Ward, Thuan An City), Mr. The Thanh Tam (born in 1997, from Quang Tri) takes on the position of maintenance staff. During his 4 years of working, Mr. Tam has always completed his assigned tasks well; proactively learned, researched and improved machinery to help the work become more effective.

From the practical work, in 2023-2024, Mr. Tam manufactured 2 plastic bottle stacking machines. This institution has been applied in factories, bringing economic efficiency to businesses, making a profit of about 1.4 billion VND per year.

Each plastic bottle stacking machine only costs about 80 million VND, helping to save 3-4 workers depending on each machine and each product. The operation of the machine helps workers put bottles in bags more simply and effectively. Simple machine operation - just need to instruct machine operation for 10-30 minutes for workers to be proficient. "I continue to research to upgrade the machine, and at the same time manufacture other machines. This institution helps workers work more freely and save more labor" - Mr. Tam shared.

Continuously improving to bring the best products

At Maruichi Sun Steel Joint Stock Company (producing steel pipes, corrugated iron, headquartered in Tan Dong Hiep ward, Di An city), Mr. Than Nhat Long (born in 1993) is Deputy Head of Ma Zinc workshop. He has been with the company for 6 years and has made many effective improvements. Notably, the Hearth Roll - NOF furnace cooling structure has been improved. Mr. Long said that around the beginning of 2021, there were 5 incidents of stopping the machine related to the He rollarth axis because the inside of the axis was rusty and the heated water could not flow through, leading to the axis being expanded and the bulletproofing tank.

I have researched and improved the design of the axles at the input and output of the cooling water to prevent electrical shock and rust near the inside of the axle. Change the allowance to reduce the inside diameter of the bullet to be smaller, thereby minimizing the effect of heat expansion on the inside of the bullet. At the same time, change the cooling drainage box to avoid selling the water, making it easy and convenient for pumping cows fat. As a result, after 2 years of improvement, the machine has not stopped while it is operating, nor has there been any product errors. In addition, the number of consumption axes has been reduced, before improving consumption by 8 axes/year, now there are only 4 axes/year. Improve safety and ease of operation by changing the structure of the cooling water tank" - Mr. Long said.

This initiative is highly appreciated and recognized by the enterprise. This improvement helps reduce costs arising from defective goods and incidents, estimated at about 1 billion VND; reduce maintenance and component replacement costs by about 50 million VND/year. According to Mr. Long, this improvement is effective and stable, so the company is still using it.

Mr. Long also improved the Wringer Roll shaft drive structure - which is highly appreciated and recognized by the enterprise. Since the improvement has been done, there have been no more defective products and similar equipment stopping incidents, estimated to reduce maintenance costs and replace components by about 80 million VND/year. During the production process, Mr. Long continuously researched to improve and update to meet the best quality of the products.

"It can be said that it needs to be continuously improved, constantly improved. Although it is already good, we continue to improve to be able to be even better" - Mr. Long shared.

Workers' initiatives benefit businesses with VND400 billion

The Binh Duong Provincial Federation of Labor said that the two workers above are good young workers, with many initiatives and improvements - initiatives recognized by enterprises, and Certificates of Merit awarded by the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee.

Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee said that in 2024, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 183 workers with outstanding achievements. Among them, there are many young workers working in export production companies. The initiatives of these 183 workers have benefited the enterprise by about 400 billion VND, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of Binh Duong province.
