Expanding National Highway 13
National Highway 13 is a vital route connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Binh Duong. Currently, Binh Duong province is expanding this route from 6 to 8 lanes.
The section passing through Ho Chi Minh City, 5.9 km long from Binh Trieu Bridge (Thu Duc City) to the border of Binh Duong Province, has been approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council under the BOT (build - operate - transfer) form.
This route is expanded to 60 m. On the 3.2 km long elevated road construction route from Binh Trieu intersection to Binh Phuoc intersection, there are 4 lanes. The road below is built with parallel roads on both sides, each side is 3 lanes wide.
The total investment of the project is about 20,900 billion VND, expected to start construction in 2026 and be completed in 2028.
Vinh Binh Bridge on National Highway 13, connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong, is expected to be invested by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee with a budget of about 300 billion VND.
Extending Metro Line 1
Metro No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) is nearly 20 km long, connecting the center of District 1 with Long Binh Depot (Thu Duc City) and has been in operation since December 22, 2024.
Ho Chi Minh City has agreed with Binh Duong and Dong Nai to extend this metro line.
From Suoi Tien Station (near the new Mien Dong Bus Station), the metro line will extend in an elevated direction along National Highway 1, then turn left to Binh Thang Station (S0) near Tan Van intersection (Binh Duong). From here, the route will be divided into two branches, one branch going to Binh Duong and one branch going to Dong Nai.

Binh Duong province will invest in the section from S0 station - My Phuoc - Tan Van - XT1 road - Central Station at Binh Duong Industrial - Urban - Service Complex. This metro line is about 30 km long with a total investment of about VND50,000 billion.
Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway Connection Road
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport is completing the pre-feasibility study report for the road project connecting from Go Dua intersection (Ring Road 2) to the Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway.
This connecting route consists of two sections, of which the section in Ho Chi Minh City (from Binh Duong border to Go Dua intersection) is about 1.65 km long and 60 m wide.
The project has a total investment of about VND 3,300 billion, of which the cost of site clearance accounts for VND 1,660 billion. The project is expected to start construction in the first quarter of 2026.

The 7.15 km section in Binh Duong - the existing DT.743 route, will be expanded to 60 m. Binh Duong will be responsible for investing in the road section in this province.
Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3
The Ring Road 3 project has a total length of more than 76 km, passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An, with a total investment of more than 75,300 billion VND.
The 47-km section of Ring Road 3 through Ho Chi Minh City has completed 31.1% of the construction volume, while the 10.7km section through Binh Duong has reached 23.7%. This route connects the two localities through Binh Goi bridge and Tan Van intersection.

According to the plan, the more than 14 km long section of Ring Road 3 through Thu Duc City will be designed at an elevated level with 4 lanes, expected to be technically open to traffic by the end of 2025. This route connects from Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway to Tan Van Intersection (Binh Duong).
The entire Ring Road 3 will be completed and put into operation from June 30, 2026.
Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4
Ring Road 4 is more than 200km long, passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
Of which, the section through Long An has the largest length of more than 78 km, Dong Nai 46 km, Ba Ria - Vung Tau 18.2 km and Ho Chi Minh City 16.7 km. These sections will be gathered into a project to submit to the National Assembly for approval, with a total capital of about 122,774 billion VND.
The section passing through Binh Duong (48 km) will be implemented independently according to the investment plan approved by the Provincial People's Council.
This route connects Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong via Phu Thuan Bridge.
The project is expected to be submitted to the National Assembly for approval of the investment policy in 2025. After that, the localities are expected to start the project in the third quarter of 2026 and complete it in 2028.
