After nearly 5 months of construction, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hong's family, Da Bo Dao village, Binh My commune, Ninh Binh province, could not hide their happiness when they moved into a spacious house that had just been completed.
Her family is one of the households in particularly difficult circumstances, her husband unfortunately had an accident, lost his ability to work, and her three children are still young and of school age. The main source of income for the family completely depends on her worker's salary. Previously, the whole family had to stay at her parents' house, life was difficult and lacking.
Sharing her situation, trade union levels have coordinated with local authorities and businesses where Ms. Hong works to organize mobilization, donations, and support for her family to build a "Trade Union Shelter". In which, the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation supported 50 million VND, along with the joint help of family and relatives, Ms. Hong has fulfilled the great wish of her life.

“When my husband had an accident and lost his ability to work, the family really fell into difficult circumstances in all aspects. I just hoped to have enough to eat and take care of my children's education, not daring to dream of having my own house. By 2025, thanks to the encouragement of my family, relatives and the help of trade union levels, my family has a new house to feel secure in raising and educating our children” - Ms. Hong shared.
Sharing the joy with Ms. Hong, the family of Ms. Tran Thi Thoa, a garment worker at HL Co., Ltd. (residing in Binh An commune, Ninh Binh province) burst into joy when they celebrated the Lunar New Year 2026 in a new house with a total area of more than 60m2.
Although we still have to borrow and life is still difficult, living in a solid, spacious house, my whole family feels very secure. If it weren't for the support of trade union levels, I wouldn't dare to dream of building a new house. This is truly a source of encouragement for the whole family to strive to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives" - Ms. Thoa shared.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation said that in the period 2023 - 2025, trade union levels in the province mobilized resources to support the construction and repair of 96 "Trade Union Homes", with a total budget of nearly 3 billion VND.

In the process of implementation, the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation has researched and applied many new solutions to create favorable conditions for trade union levels to mobilize and mobilize all resources to build "Trade Union Homes" and provide unexpected difficulties for union members and workers. In addition, trade union levels also coordinate with local authorities, organizations, and philanthropists to provide additional funding for housing construction and purchase of household items for union members and workers.
Caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers is a key task that trade union levels always aim for, in which the "Trade Union Shelter" program is a practical and meaningful activity. In the coming time, the Provincial Labor Federation will continue to diversify forms of propaganda, and at the same time call on businesses and philanthropists to actively support funding sources, build the "Trade Union Shelter" fund, improve the efficiency of management and use of the fund in accordance with regulations, and better serve the construction and repair of houses for union members and workers in difficult housing circumstances in the province" - Mr. Long said.
