The Vietnamese shooting team is expected to send top shooters, including Trinh Thu Vinh, to participate in the 2026 World Championships in Doha (Qatar) in November this year.

The Vietnamese shooting team aims for important tasks to find official slots to compete in the 2028 Olympics.
At the 2024 Olympics in France, the Vietnamese shooting team won 2 official competition slots: Trinh Thu Vinh (shorts) and Le Thi Mong Tuyen (sprint rifle). Trinh Thu Vinh had the best result of ranking 4th in the women's 10m air pistol event at the 2024 Olympics.
